I have spent the last four years managing the largest single non-government well-being dataset in Canada, cultivating expertise in database management, visualization, and analysis based on open science principles.
To help manage your research, I can provide database management services such as cleaning, processing, and organizing data. This can include a full survey to database service, where I download raw data from the survey server and return a fully cleaned dataset (i.e., screen data for implausible values, reverse score and create scale totals, assess missing data and/or bots, recode variables as needed, in long or wide format) with documentation (i.e., a data dictionary or codebook and a processing log recording each manipulation and component of data wrangling).
At the simplest level, I can conduct t-tests, correlation, multiple regression, chi-squared tests, ANOVA. I can provide psychometric analyses, such as assessing reliability, validity, and factor analyses. During my graduate training, I developed a skillset in more complex regression-based techniques and structural equation modeling (using the lavaan package in R), including working with nested data (e.g., individuals nested within dyads or within a community). I use linear mixed models, cross-lagged panel models, actor-partner interdependence models, moderation and mediation (e.g., serial, parallel, simple), and multi-level modeling. I can also conduct power and precision analyses for a-priori sample size calculations and power simulations.
I predominantly use R programming which enables reproducibility, data management and emphasizes record keeping/version control, but can also use SPSS, jamovi, and SAS. I’m also active in knowledge synthesis methods (such as scoping and systematic reviews) and can conduct meta-analytic analyses.
The first initial 30-minute consultation is 100% free with no commitment required. Here, we will chat about your needs and the alignment with my skillset. The follow up from this meeting includes creating a contract which outlines the services I will provide, an approximate timeline for completing the project, and the associated cost.
I typically charge an hourly rate. In some situations, a flat fee may be more fitting and can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis while creating the contract. Current graduate students recieve a 10% discount.
